Review: Misconception (Unrequited Series Book 2) by Julia Wolf

Misconception Misconception by Julia Wolf
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Unplanned

I’d probably give this 3.5 ⭐️ if I could.

Michaela, or Mickey as she is known at work, is a tour manager for musicians. Several years earlier she worked on a tour where Unrequited was the supporting act and the young lead singer, Mo, flirted with her and she laughed off his attentions as being a joke. But when she ran into him in a bar in Las Vegas he wasn’t as young, and she’d had a couple of drinks and he was fun to hang out with. One thing lead to another and they spent the night together.

Michaela had been burnt before by rocker boys and had a nice shiny divorce to prove it. She didn’t expect to be taking anything home from her reckless one night stand but it turns out her body had other ideas.

Michaela 8 years older than Mo, she is prickly, hard working, and afraid to commit. Mo is flirty, attractive, a bit of a slut and has a massive heart. This book tells the story of their ups and downs as they try to negotiate a relationship based on the results of one night together.

I enjoyed the book but wanted to slap their heads together a few times. Michaela didn’t convey her feelings enough and Mo got wound up to easily and was a bit inconsiderate. However, on the whole I enjoyed the book and was pleased to witness the HEA.
