Review: Whisper of Spirits (FSID Agents Series Book 1) by A J Macey

Whisper of Spirits Whisper of Spirits by A.J. Macey
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Psychic Police Consultant and Her Ghostly Sidekick

I probably wouldn’t have picked this book if it wasn’t written by AJ Macey and she was giving it away free during Social Isolation. I was browsing my library on Kindle and just randomly clicked on it, forgetting about the blurb and I was really glad I did.

This story is more interesting than it initially sounds. Yes it’s about a psychic who is a police consultant, Casper, and yes her best friend is a ghost, but she is also practically a police officer she has worked with them so long. She’s strong, determined, intelligent and plain spoken. She also has to work with the Federal Supernatural Investigation Division of the FBI on a case of ritual murders.

It gets better because all four of the FSID team are supernaturals and they all are very attracted to her and she to them. On top of that two of the guys are together already.

So we have all the ingredients of a great book, lots of tension, lots of plot and murder mystery crime solving action and really interesting characters. Throw in a mysterious past and you have a great story.

I really enjoyed this book and the characters were all interesting. I felt that there was lots of information about them just waiting to be revealed when the surface was scratched. I really can’t wait to read the next book.
