Review: Claiming Her Mates (Claiming Her Mates Series Book 2) by Dia Cole

Claiming Her Mates Claiming Her Mates by Dia Cole
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Less Complex Than the Prequel

I actually read this book months before reading the prequel, Claiming The Nanny, and I had forgotten until I started to read it again. You can tell that the prequel is the more recent book because it is much more nuanced than this book. However, it is still a good book.

This book starts with Havana working as a stripper again after Nathan dumped her. The Canine Flu mentioned in the prequel has turned into a pandemic and life is tough for strippers. After a lousy shift she discovers that the her last client is really sick and it’s not from the flu. His veins are black and he is dying very quickly.

It quickly appears that the vaccine designed to help prevent the flu wasn’t tested and it is turning a vast number of the world’s population into zombies, all except the werewolves who are immune.

Vana is trying to deal with the new disease when three men turn up to take her to safety. It turns out that Nathan sent them to try and get her to safety. However, all three men are drawn to her as she is to them. The men know that Nathan will never stand for them to act on their feelings.

This book is actually a dystopian thriller as well as a paranormal reverse harem romance. Things just got a bit more complicated!
