Hot Bikers
I love Bink Cummings. She creates such wonderful characters. In this novella that is part of a series created by multiple authors about different chapters of the same MC she creates a new group of bikers and weaves them into the existing ones.
This chapter of The Royal Bastards MC is made up of a small group of brothers who are all damaged in some way. They earn their way through underground fights. Burn is the VP and basically runs the place because his Dad is the Pres and really only interested in sex and booze.
Burn was tortured by having gasoline poured over him and being lit on fire. His burns are sensitive to touch and he feels ugly. He hasn’t really been involved with anyone for years.
Switch is a new young guy that turns up, brought by Bonez and Whiskey from Corrupted Chaos MC. He was rescued from traffickers but won’t speak, won’t take part in counselling and acts out violently, a perfect fit for their chapter. Burn takes him under his wing and moves him into his rooms to make sure he doesn’t get into trouble.
These two guys aren’t able to communicate properly but that doesn’t stop them understanding each other. I loved their bond. I really liked all the characters and felt that there was definite scope for Bink to expand the universe somewhat and work with these great characters in future books and maybe mash up some MC worlds!
As always this was a well written, passionate and interesting book. The plot is straight forward, which is par for the course in a novella, but the story is no less heart felt and intriguing for it. It’s made me want to look at some of the other books in this series to see if I can find some new MC writers to add to my list of those I enjoy reading. I have faith there will be one or two!
