Review: The Kiss of Death (Demon's Muse Series Book 1) by Auryn Hadley

The Kiss of Death The Kiss of Death by Auryn Hadley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

What if Demons Were The Good Guys?

Sienna Parker hasn’t had the best life. She was abandoned as a five year old and grew up in foster care, moving around several times. She hasn’t got any friends and her motivation in life is going to college, getting a degree and then getting a job as a medical illustrator. Art is her main talent and sadly creating art isn’t a steady job, not like being a medical illustrator.

She has worked since graduating high school, six years ago, to save up enough to go to college without incurring massive debts. At last she has accomplished part of her dream. Sadly the guy she started dating once she arrived at college seems a bit of an ass, but that’s nothing new, Sienna is used to men behaving like selfish children so ditching him shouldn’t be too hard.

She meets a gorgeous man, Nick, who looks like a Greek god and still seems to be interested in her. All she wants to be is normal, except that is something it seems Sienna is incapable of being, when she draws objects that come to life and spring off the page. Nick seems to be a great guy and after he saves her she’s even more drawn to him. His friend’s are pretty hot too.

I love Auryn Hadley’s work. This is a great example of her skillful world building and character construction. This author always makes it easy to connect with the characters. The plot is gripping and I couldn’t stop reading once I got past the first couple of chapters.

I love how the author turns things on it’s head with this book and I can’t wait to see what happens next.
