Review: Warrior Fae Princess (Warrior Fae Series Book 2) by KF Breene

Warrior Fae Princess Warrior Fae Princess by K.F. Breene
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Brilliant Story Telling

I love the way K F Breene has built this universe and the creatures within it. I know that I have skipped a lot of the world building as I’ve not read the first part of the series, not realising I was missing it because of the groupings of the novels. This book contained a lot more about things I knew nothing about, with magical characters I now know are from earlier books. It was intriguing enough to make me want to go back and read those books but it wasn’t overly confusing, despite my lack of knowledge.

It’s in this book we follow Charity’s magical growth as her magical abilities continue to swell and surge out of control. The main thing keeping her in check has been Devon’s alpha powers, which have been pushed to grow in order to balance Charity’s. It has made him a force to be reckoned with at a very young age.

Charity managed to hang on until the end of the school term, but everyone knew she needed to go to the Warrior Fae to get her magic balanced properly and to receive training. The journey is not an easy one, but she receives help, support and protection from Devon and his pack, plus some extra people drafted in by Roger, the Alpha in charge of North America.

One of the things I loved about this book was that the author isn’t afraid to have characters exhibit both good and bad traits. No one is wholly one thing or another. This gives the characters depth and creates tension and allows for great story telling. This holds true for entire races of supernatural beings as well as individuals. The author shows that each race has both good and bad traits that can either help or harm themselves and others.

This book has an awful lot going for it and I know I want to read what happens next. I hope a new book is released soon!
