Review: The Heat of the Dragon's Heart (Harem of Fire Series Book 2) by Willa Hart

The Heat of the Dragon's Heart The Heat of the Dragon's Heart by Willa Hart
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Things Are Heating Up

The first book in this series was definitely a very slow burn, but this book jumped straight into the action!

Uncle Max is still missing but Favor has been able to speak to him in visions and read notes he leaves in the same place, in the dragon language (which she doesn’t know). Favor’s powers seem to be increasing all the time, especially as she grows more connected to the guys. The five dragons and Favor seem to be bonding more closely together and the guys don’t seem to be jealous of each other.

Favor and the guys are determined to find out what the Romanian dragon is looking for, and why Favor seems to be a target. It’s stirring up dreams that seem to be more than just memories or random images. Favor feels that she is adrift, not quite understanding what is going on or why. She feels that Uncle Max didn’t really train her to be a dragon keeper at all.

This book is definitely filled with steamy scenes between Favor and her dragons. It’s quite a jump in heat between the two books, though I suppose the first book could be seen as the build up to the conclusion.

There are quite a lot of things happening outside the bedroom too. The plot speeds up and the pressures mount more of Favor’s abilities are exposed.

I am enjoying this series. It’s fun and entertaining.
